Wash The House Room-by-Room Cleaning Checklist

A practical pass order for co-op mansions—wash complete and items complete as separate checks.

Cleaning Checklist

Use this Cleaning Checklist during live Wash The House sessions. Crystal Clean’s Roblox co-op cleaner rewards teams that cover every surface and every misplaced item—not teams that polish the foyer three times. Read the method once, then run the room list in voice chat.

Pair this page with the Upgrade Planner when gear—not routing—is your bottleneck. New players should skim Guides for controls (E / G / R on PC, RT / LT / Y on controller) before taking a wing solo.

How to run the checklist

For each zone, call two statuses:

  1. Wash — visible dirt, stains, and spray targets cleared
  2. Items — misplaced props returned to sensible homes

A room is not done until both are true. That single rule prevents the classic fail where the house “looks clean” from the hallway camera but the job will not complete.

Squad roles (suggested):

  • Washer — owns spray lanes and vertical surfaces
  • Runner — hunts clutter, carries returns, checks shelves and floors
  • Floater — joins whichever metric is lagging; re-checks “almost done” rooms

Entry and first impression zones

These areas decide whether your lobby feels organized in the first minute.

Driveway / exterior approach

  • Wash: ground stains, outer walls near the entrance, any obvious exterior grime patches
  • Items: outdoor props kicked out of place; nothing blocking the door for teammates
  • Call “exterior clear” so nobody double-stacks outside while upstairs waits

Foyer / entrance hall

  • Wash: floor path, stair sides you can reach early, wall splatters at eye level
  • Items: coats, shoes, misplaced decor near the door
  • Leave one player as traffic control if the lobby is large—congestion here wastes seconds

Main stairs and landings

  • Wash: step edges and landing walls that cameras love to miss
  • Items: anything sitting on stairs that belongs in a room
  • Decide upstairs ownership now (one name per floor) to avoid three people climbing together

Social downstairs loop

Living room / lounge

  • Wash: sofa-adjacent floors, TV wall, coffee table zone, corners behind seating
  • Items: cushions, remotes, decor pieces on wrong furniture
  • Floater peek: under tables and behind the largest couch

Dining room

  • Wash: table surface area, chair-adjacent floor, wall art splatters
  • Items: dishes, centerpieces, chairs shoved into wrong slots
  • Confirm seats are usable so runners are not pathing through chaos

Kitchen

  • Wash: counters, splash zones near sinks, floor traffic lanes, appliance faces
  • Items: cookware, food props, trash-like clutter that belongs in cabinets or bins
  • Runner priority room—kitchens hide a lot of returnables

Hallways connecting social rooms

  • Wash: baseboards and mid-wall stains while traveling; do not “save hallways for later” forever
  • Items: anything stranded mid-corridor
  • Quick call if a hallway is only wash-done so runners know to swing through

Utility and wet rooms

Bathroom(s)

  • Wash: floor, walls around tub/shower, mirror-adjacent splatters, behind toilet area if accessible
  • Items: toiletries, towels, mats out of place
  • Treat every bathroom as its own mini-boss; skipping one tanks completion

Laundry / utility closet

  • Wash: tight-floor grime and wall marks
  • Items: baskets, bottles, tools that migrated into the mansion proper
  • Easy to ignore—put it on the board explicitly

Garage / storage (if present in your layout)

  • Wash: floor oil-like stains and lower walls
  • Items: boxes and gear returned to shelves
  • Assign one player; do not send the whole lobby

Quiet rooms and bedrooms

Master bedroom

  • Wash: open floor, wall accents, window-adjacent dirt
  • Items: clothes, lamps, bedside clutter
  • Check both sides of the bed before calling clear

Guest bedrooms / kids rooms

  • Wash: floor toys’ surrounding stains, wall marks at kid height
  • Items: toys, books, small props (runners thrive here)
  • Mark each bedroom by a nickname (“blue bed,” “bunk room”) in chat

Closets and walk-ins

  • Wash: if dirt spawned inside, clear it before sealing the room mentally
  • Items: clothing props on the floor belong up, not in the hallway
  • Closets are prime “last 1%” hideouts

Upstairs specialty spaces

Office / study

  • Wash: desk zone, chair mat area, bookshelf-adjacent walls
  • Items: papers, devices, chairs
  • One washer + one runner is enough

Game room / media nook

  • Wash: open floor and screen-wall splatters
  • Items: controllers, cushions, misc entertainment props
  • Resist replaying the fun room after it is done

Attic / loft / roof access (when the mansion includes it)

  • Wash: low-light corners; bring a patient washer
  • Items: stored junk that belongs downstairs or on shelves
  • Scout early so the attic is not the painful finale while everyone is tired

Final sweep protocol

When the team thinks you are finished:

  1. Silent lap — one player walks a full circuit with zero spraying unless they spot real dirt.
  2. Item-only lap — another player ignores walls and only looks for props.
  3. Cross-call — each wing owner says “wash done / items done” once more.
  4. Entrance recheck — new dirt near doors sometimes appears after traffic; glance before you celebrate.
  5. Upgrade note — if the clear felt slow, open the Upgrade Planner before the next job.

Co-op communication cheatsheet

Use short calls:

  • “Kitchen wash done, items open”
  • “Need runner in bath 2”
  • “Attic claimed by me”
  • “Foyer final sweep”

Avoid vague “I’m cleaning upstairs” with no room name. Specificity is the checklist’s whole point.

When the checklist disagrees with the map

Layouts can vary with updates or mansion variants. If a room on this list does not exist, skip it. If you discover a wing not named here, add it to your squad’s custom note and still apply the wash/items dual check. Revisit Updates after patches that mention map work.

Run the dual-check method, keep roles clear, and the mansion stops owning your lobby.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Wash The House cleaners.

Why track wash and items separately?

A room can look clean from spray work while misplaced props still block completion. Dual checks catch both failure modes.

What is the best squad split?

One washer, one item runner, and a floater who joins whichever metric is behind works for most lobbies.

What if our mansion layout differs?

Skip missing rooms and keep the wash/items rule for every zone you do have. Add custom wing names in chat.

Should we upgrade before using the checklist?

Routing helps at any gear level. If clears still feel slow after clean routes, open the Upgrade Planner next.
